ABOUT

 

Ben Koostra is a consultant with Limestone & Cooper, LLC, a boutique geospatial and agricultural consulting company he founded in 2007. His expertise includes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) implementation, GIS application design and development, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) technologies, agricultural nutrient management planning, and environmental regulatory compliance.

Ben grew up on a farm near Bowling Green, Kentucky and received a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He joined the Lexington, Kentucky branch office of LAW Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. where he focused on environmental assessments of commercial and industrial properties. Ben returned to the University of Kentucky as an Engineer Associate in the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department where he managed research and development projects relating to natural resource management and production agriculture.

Ben is a registered Professional Engineer in Kentucky and Tennessee. He resides in Bowling Green, Kentucky and enjoys traveling, aviation, biking, shooting sports, and watching University of Kentucky athletics.
